This is a proposed amendment to the Constitution.
1. Impeachable offenses for all persons holding offices of trust under the United States shall include, but not be limited to, perjury; fraud; obstruction of justice; dereliction of duty; treason; malfeasance; misfeasance; abuse of power; capital crimes; and other felonies, misdemeanors, or violations of ethics, including material misrepresentations of eligibility or suitability for office.
2. Any person holding an elected or appointed office under the United States shall be impeached, and Congress shall immediately initiate impeachment proceedings, upon application by three-fourths of the legislatures of the several states.
2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution in the several States, as provided herein.
